The Best Surf Spots in New Jersey
Though the East Coast may not have a great reputation for international surfers, there are still great surfing available for all levels of surfers. Whether you’re trying to plan a next vacation to get some surfing in, or are looking to hunt some waves in your area, there are a variety of places available to get some nice waves. Fortunately, with your No Netz anti-chafing bathing suit, you won’t have to worry about chafing while paddling out or waiting for just the right kind of wave. In this blog, we’re going to explore some of the best surf spots in New Jersey!
Brigantine, New Jersey
Brigantine is one of the many beautiful beach cities nestled on the coast of the Atlantic ocean in New Jersey. The island goes north of Absecon island, and because of this, provides optimal surfing conditions for a great day at the Brigantine Jetty. The jetty is right by the inlet of Atlantic City, and when winds blow NW, you’re in for a great day of surfing.
Sea Isle City, New Jersey
Sea Isle City provides a great place for beginner surfers to get ahold of the skills needed to advance as a surfer. There are multiple surf beaches to paddle out, so you won’t have to worry about the crowds too often. The beach breaks here offer great waves that are big enough to get some riding in, but won’t be barreling overhead waves (unless there is a hurricane fast approaching).
Similar to Brigantine, the Manasquan inlet off of Pt. Pleasant beach provides great surfing for both beginners and advanced surfers. There is a left-to-right break near the jetty that is great for less experienced surfers, and paddling out away from the jetty gives advanced surfers better rides.
